[Review] Etude House Wonder Pore

Today I will write a review on most of the most popular toners in the world of Korean cosmetics.

What they say:
This product is total solution for pore care, preventing enlarged pores, less firmer skin and skin troubles by eliminating what hurts skin health from within. 

[7 in 1] 1. Deep cleanses pores 2. Maintain ph 4.5 ±1 3. control a large amount of the sebum 3. Minimize appearance of pores 5. Refine the skin tones 6. Keep the elasticity of pores 7. Moisturize inside and outside of skin

Ingredients:

Water, Chrysanthellum Indicum Extract, Alcohol Denat, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26 Betaine, Sea WAter, PEG-60 Hydrogenated CAstor Oil, Dosium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Cycmbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Water, Uncaria Gambir Extract, Nelumba Nucifera Flower Extract, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Extract, Sanguisorba Officinalis Root Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Extract, Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion) Leaf Extract, Chrysanthemum Morifolium Flower Extract, Chamaecyparais Obtusa Water, Pulsatilla Koreana Extractm Dosdium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol 

There it is...alcohol. I prefer my toners to be without alcohol because it makes my skin feel dry and itchy. Luckily in this case the alcohol didn't seem to affect my skin. I still don't like seeing it on the ingredients list.

I bought the 500ml version when I was in Korea because Etude House had a 30% foreigner discount and I always wanted to try it.

Texture: It's a liquid toner, nothing special.7

Smell: I personally didn't notice any strong or distinct smell. There's a hint of alcohol if you put your nose close to the bottle.

Effects: During the first week I did indeed notice that my pores became smaller and my blackheads were reduced. However, now after using it for almost half a year the effects seem to have stopped. My blackheads are not as bad as before but still visible and my pores around my nose, chin and forehand still look larger than I would like them to. I'm also contributing the visible reduction of the pore size shortly after applying the toner to the alcohol in it and not to it deep-cleansing the pores. The effect of the reduction of the pore-size also doesn't last very long. On the positive side, it didn't break me out.

It's a solid toner but nothing more. I'm on the look for something that can help me with my blackheads and pore-size and sadly this toner didn't live up to my expectations. Right now I have my eyes on the Mizon Daily AHA % BHA Clean Toner.


Repurchase: No.

Pros: didn't break me out, convinient pump, rather cheap

Cons: no lasting effects.
