[Review] Canmake Stay-on Balm Rouge

Hello everyone,

How are you doing? I just started a part-time job and while it's fun it's also exhausting =D

Today I will write a review about these awesome little guys: the stay-on balm rouges by canmake.

What they say:
OK to apply directly, even to chapped lips.
A tinted rouge like a moisturizing lip balm.
Moisturizing lipstick with staying power.
UV-reducing effect <Contains no ultraviolet absorbers>

Ingredients: Honey, shea butter, squalane, royal jelly extract, jojoba oil, olive oil, rosehip oil, grapeseed oil, macadamia nut oil, pomegranate oil (I couldn't find more, sorry)

This is advertised as a tinted lipbalm so we're gonna look at this product from this perspective.

The packaging is rather bulky and about the size of most lip crayons that are popular these days but I personally don't mind that much. It has a very girly design that looks cute in my opinion =D

I didn't notice any special smell and the texture is very much like a lipbalm. It glides on smoothly and feels very moisturizing.

Swatches: 01 Rosier Rose & 06 Sweet Clematis
As you can see the color is rather sheer and on the natural side. It looks very smooth and glowy on the lips however, if you have a lot of dry patches, it could cling to them.

Naked lips

01 Rosier Rose
06 Sweet Clematis
The lasting power is not that great and I would say without eating or drinking it could last up to 2 hours, most probably less though.
If you're looking for a lip product with amazing color pay-off lasting the whole day and night this is not the product for you. But now that it's getting colder, this is the perfect product for my lips. A nice natural look for casual days that moisturize my lips on top.
Given the prices for cosmetics in Japan I would say the price is okay.

All in all: this is not a if-you-don't-own-it-you-will-die product but I personally wouldn't want to miss it. So if you're on the hunt for something natural definitely take a look at this product.
Pros: UV-protection, moisturizing, cute packaging, sheer coverage

Cons: a bit bulky, doesn't last too long

Overall: 4/5
