[Review] Tony Moly Luminous Aura BB & CC Special Set Pt.2 CC Cream

Hello lovelies~

How are you doing? I'm still fighting with getting all my stuff in boxes and applying for a university for graduate studies....
But now I decided to take a break from boxes and application forms in order to write this entry =D

I posted about the BB Cream already here and now the CC Cream follows

What they say:

  • CC cream makes perfectly natural skin tone as providing natural color change and skin care effect with moist radiance.
  • Black/red/yellow color capsule pops and perfectly mixes up upon applying on skin to naturally conceals redness and imperfections.
  • 7 Free - parabene, benzo phenon, talc, mineral oil, organic pigment, sulfate surfactant, Triethanolamine
  • SPF30 PA++

Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Phenyl Trimethicone, Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Oxide, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Niacinamide, Methylpropanediol, CetylPEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Sodium Chloride, Beeswax, Sambucus Nigra Flower Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract, Rosa Hybrid Flower Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Safflower Seed Oil, Salvia Hispanica Seed Oil, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Acacia Seyal Gum Extract, Squalane, Sorbitan Isostearate, Pentylene Glycol, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Tribehenin, Dimethicone, Polyester-1, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Triethoxycarprylysilance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Glyceryl Caprylate, Butylene Gycol, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Ceramid 3, Retinol, Linoleic Acid, Tocopherol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Carprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dilinoleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Cassia Anugstifolia Seed Polysaccharide, Cholesterol, Propylene Glycol, Sucrose Palmitate, Prolyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Oleic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Caprylyl Glycol, Brassica Campestris (Steroid, Sodium Ascorbyl, Phosphate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hexylene Glycol, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Disodium EDTA< Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Fragrance, Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Mica, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Iron Oxides (CI77499).

As promised no signs of Mineral Oil or Parabenes. Just like the BB Cream, it contains silicones and a lot of plant extracts. Nothing special here.

Texture: Creamy. It's lighter of texture than the BB Cream and you can spread it easily.

Swatch on my arm
Smell: This also has a strong floral scent (I'm starting to think, this is Tony Moly's distinctive scent?) but it's a bit lighter than the BB Cream. Still, if you're sensitive towards strong scents this might be not the product for you.

Packaging: A sturdy plasic bottle. Perfect for traveling (no fear of leaking or breaking) but squeezing out could get difficult once the bottle is getting empty. This package looks different from the full size version. The full size version has a pump and is a round long bottle.

Bare face (sorry, I look like a zombie oO)
CC Cream applied
CC Cream + Conclealer + Powder
Full-face make-up
5 hours later
Effects: The CC Cream has obviously less coverage than the BB Cream (pretty normal, I guess). But it still covered my trouble areas and looks quite natural in my opinion. Also, the lasting power is not too bad, it wore off on my usual spots, the nose and around the mouth but looks still okay after 5 hours. I think this is a really nice product for days when you don't need a lot of coverage but still want to have something to even out your skintone and cover minor troubled areas.

Repurchase: I'm not sure. It's my first CC Cream and I wanna try some more before I decide which is my favourite one (if you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them =D)
You can buy the small version of the CC Cream on roserosehop as well as the set, and the full size version on amazon and koreadepart.

Pros: good coverage, lasts 5-6 hours, reasonable price, natural look

Cons: strong smell

Overall: 4/5
